About The Principal
After 7 years in Washington, DC, and working in an International Organisation (IDB-Inter-American Development Bank as Budget coordinator for social projects in Central America) Carolina and her family relocated to the UK and established in the Richmond area.

After having her first-born, Carolina felt that it was time to explore a different professional path. She started a Spanish playgroup called Musiquillos, teaching Spanish through music for babies and toddlers in East Sheen. This new experience had convinced her that teaching Spanish to toddlers was something that she wanted to do at a professional level. Carolina was already familiar with the Montessori approach and was passionate about its philosophy.

Carolina graduated from Montessori Centre International (MCI) and worked in different nurseries in the area of East Sheen, Richmond, Barnes and Putney accumulating very valuable experience. In parallel, Carolina continued teaching Spanish to children, developing methods inspired by the Montessori philosophy. She ran a Spanish class in Putney for over a year, attended by over 20 children aged between 4 and 5 years old. While being a full-time Montessori teacher, Carolina ran regular Spanish holiday camps in her home.

After all these wonderful experiences and having young children who speak three languages - English, Spanish and French (she is married to a French national) - Carolina decided it was time to open her own nursery where children would be exposed and encouraged to speak a second language within a natural and caring Montessori environment.

She founded Casa Montessori in 2016 and since then had encountered continued success, met happy families, children who progress and prove her every day that she took the best decision.
